Setting Up Media Kit
Your media kit displays information about your advertising program, audience, available ad placements and costs to
advertisers.
Publishers can set ad rates (CPM, CPC, CPA, or flat fee) for each
zone. These media rates will be displayed to potential advertisers and the rates are used to compute the final invoice amount. There are two types of Media Kit:
- Media Kit for Publisher: this is the main media kit that includes all zone's media kits. You can view this media kit from the menu Advertisers/Media Kit
- Media Kit for Zone: this is the media kit for each zone. By default, any zone with ad rates will be automatically included into the main media kit unless you want to exclude it.
Enable the Plugin
Before you can use the Media Kit feature, you would need to turn it on by following the menu
My Account / Profile / Plugins. You should also enable both
Advertisers and
Invoices plugins.
Setup a new Media Kit
In order for potential advertisers to place an order, you need to setup the media kit for the
ad placements, i.e. zones, on your website:
- Follow the menu Zones / All
- Click on a zone name and choose "Rates" tab
- You can see existing rates, add new rates, and preview the media kit for this zone
Ad Rates
Potential advertisers can buy clicks (CPC), impressions (CPM), conversions (CPA) or display time (one week, two weeks, one month).
Rate Brackets
A publisher can set multiple rate brackets for volume discounts. For example, advertising on zone "HomePage_468x60" costs:
- $10/CPM for orders with less than 10,000 impressions
- $7/CPM for orders with 10,000 to 100,000 impressions
- $5/CPM for orders with 100,000 impressions
Custom Descriptions/Notes
You can follow the menu
Advertisers / Media Kit and click on
Edit tab to add additional details such as: company introduction, advertising opportunities, audience details, traffic patterns, discount coupons, or any additional instructions/notes. You can use simple HTML tags like bullets, bold, italic, paragraph and link. Your input will be displayed to potential advertisers in the media kit under your company's logo.
Preview your Media Kit
Once the zone rates are setup, you can preview the media kit by following the menu
Advertisers / Media Kit.
Next Step - "Advertise with us"
After you set ad rates for one or more zones, you are ready to put the media kit link "Advertise with us", or your own words, on your website so that potential advertisers can sign up and
place an advertising order directly with you. Here is how to get this link:
- Follow the menu Advertisers / Media Kit
- Click on Publish tab
- Copy the provided HTML link tag and place it into your website
