How do I troubleshoot "Invalid Ad Type" error?

This error happens when a Flash/SWF, textlink, or 3rd-party/HTML ad is forced to display within the <img> tag. These formats are not compatible and non-image ad cannot be displayed as an image. The solution is to check the serving code, make sure you copy and paste it in full, including the JavaScript/Iframe portion and not just the <img> tag.
